Retraction
I know I've slagged off Madden recently, well I take that all back as I've just finished playing Madden NFL 11 demo and there are some major improvements.
T.O and the Bengals WR Base
The Bengals earlier today closed a deal to add Terrell Owens to their already big and brilliant wide receiver base. But I said when Lebron and Chris Bosch joined the Miami Heat earlier this summer that I thought they had too much ego in their team and I think now that there will be too much ego in Cincinnati's Wide Receiver base.
Earlier this off-season the Bengals acquired Antonio Bryant of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, they gave him a multi-million dollar contract and a good number of years on his contract. But news came in that he has been struggling with the Bengals. T.O. has been brought in for one year. The word has it that Ocho Cinco and T.O. will be playing on the outside and Antonio Bryant will be playing slot receiver. But where does that leave rookie wide receiver Jordan Shipley of the Longhorns because before T.O. came in the word was that Bryant would be playing outside and Shipley would be playing slot.
All these questions will be answered shortly as the Bengals start their pre-season with the Hall of Fame Game against Dallas on the 8th of August. But the signing of T.O. only can mean one thing that the Bengals are wanting to strengthen their passing game with Ocho, T.O., Antonio Bryant, Jordan Shipley and Tight End Jermain Gresham.

I've just finished looking at the Cincinnati Bengals Schedule and predicted which teams they'll beat and which teams they'll loose to here are my final predictions;

My Favourite Sport, My least favouirte Sport video game!
My favourite sport is Football, NFL football to be precise. But only one company has the rights to make an NFL video game which of course is EA Sports Madden NFL but the game never seems to change or recently has never changed. I have played and owned Madden 2005-Madden 2010 on three different consoles PS2, PSP and PS3. Here are the changes which I have noticed within these past 5 games;

- 2006- Superstar Mode debuts
- 2007- Superstar mode changes, can only control one player and do not get to pick the plays
- 2008- No changes
- 2009- Backtrack analysis is used in normal game play
- 2010- no changes
- My player- This simelar to Superstar mode but it's better as you will start at the summer cuircit or spring training as a rookie and should make the journey going between contract negotiations and training camp and lower leagues such as the NBA-D League and The AA baseball League.
- The Assosiation- This is simelar to the Franchise mode in Madden but also is better as you have NBA.com whichgives you generated headlines from around the league. You can see stats and who's going to the All-star game and who is wining the MVP award. You also have a practice menu where you can schedule practice and have a live practice when ever you want.

Manchester United (my team) vs Celtic
Manchester United started their north American tour last night with a 3-1 win over the Glasgow Celtic in Toronto. Berbatov hit the opening goal in the 34th minute to put united up one-nil. Here's the goal:
As you can see Diouf crosses the ball in and Berbatov hits the ball down with the bottom of his boot, he then controls it and brings it to the right side of the box and then smashes it to the bottom left corner of the goal.
Then in the 60th minute Celtic went down in the box and were awarded a penalty which Samaras puts in the back of the net as you can see here;
Then nearly 20 minutes, in the 79th minute, after that penalty was awarded and scored the young striker Danny Welbeck Scored for Manchester United to put Man U back on top 2-1 as you can see here;
As you can see in this goal that Berbatov had a good chance to score but he could have also been shut down by the keeper just as well, so he passes it off to Welbeck who slides along the ground and puts the ball in the back of the net with the bottom of his boot.
Then another young player in the 86th minute Tom Cleverly scored another for Man United to put the red devils in the driving seat. Here's the goal;
Really it wasn't a Cleverly goal it was an own goal but I don't know whose it was.
Manchester United next face Philadelphia on July 22nd and will hopefully show the Americans something about soccer.

The Madden Curse
Madden 11 is Nearly upon us as it comes out on August 10th. As Madden 11 comes out so does the madden curse. Anyone who hasn't heard about the madden curse is not a true football fan.
The Madden Curse
2004-Micheal Vick- The Quarter-back which everyone wanted, at that time, broke his leg in a pre-season game and was out for the first 12 games of the regular season. Then in 2007 he was involved in a dog fighting scandal and spent time in jail, he never returned to himself.
2005-Ray Lewis- Ray Lewis's season was cut short in week 15 after an injury to his wrist it also was the first ever season in his career which he did no get one interception.
2006-Donovan McNab- He tore an ACL ligament in a game against Buffalo while jumping out of bound. He suffered from a sports hernia in week 1.
2007-Shaun Alexander- The reigning NFL MVP at the time sustained a foot injury which kept him from six NFL starts that season. Due to loss of starts his running stats were hurt quite a bit and never returned to his true form.
2008-Vince Young- Vince Young seems to be a bit of an exception to the curse. He missed one regular season game due to a minor injury and the rest of his season was on a par with his previous season. But should it not have been better now that he was a sophomore Quarter-Back?
2009-Brett "The Legend" Favre- Favre had anounced that he was retiring but later he decided to come out of retirement and play for the NY Jets. The jets missed the play-offs with a 9-7 regular season record after starting the season 8-3. Favre in hes last 5 games of that season threw only two touchdowns and nine interception. Not his usual self is it.
2010-Troy Polamalu & Larry Fitzgerald- Troy Polamalu Sprained this ACL in the first half of the season opener and missed the next four games. After those four games he returned to face Cincinnati at Paul Brown Stadium and injured his posterior ligament and missed more games as a result. Fitzgerald on the other hand had no injury, started all 16 games and had a pro bowl appearance.
The Madden Curse
Since 2002 the cover boy of Madden NFL video Game has had their worst career season.
2002-Daunte Culpepper- He led his team, The Vikings, to the play-offs a season before hand but after being featured on the cover of Madden NFL 2002 he threw 23 interceptions and slumped to a 5-11 regular season record and also broke the record for most fumbles in a season.
2003-Marshal Faulk- After appearing on the cover of Madden NFL the success of the St Louis Rams declined. MLB All star
I don't really watch Baseball at all but tonight is differant as it's the best of the American League against the best of the National League at the moment we're at the botom of the 2nd with no score. I'm not sure, as I don't know much about baseball but I think this will be a close game as the pitchers are just throwing amazing balls. I've seen about two or three balls been hit. Also the atmosephere is enjoyable not as if it's a do or die situation.
Is Micheal Jordan making a comeback
How would you describe Micheal? One of the best sports stars of all time, The best basketball player of all time and some may call him the Brett Favre of basketball. Some of you may be asking yourself what the hell is he going on about? Yes. Well I'm going on about this
He appears to be on the front of next years NBA 2K11. Why? Don't ask me that's the problem with 2ksports they must be smoking something in their office because they've gone crazy.

The Heat Trio
The new NBA superstar team the Miami Heat have been getting a lot of Heat from the press (HA HA HA HA HA HA HA). As last week the currant NBA MVP, LeBron James, formally a Cleveland Cavalier, announced that he was going to be taking his talents to Miami. Dwayne Wade ,already being with the heat since 2003, also makes a third of "The heat trio". The final part to the trio is Chris Bosh, formally a Toronto Raptor.
These three players in my book make up three of the five best players in the league but has this ever worked previously in the world of sport? More recently no. Taking a look more at soccer than basketball. In the past two years there have been two soccer teams that got a big cash boost, Manchester City and Real Madrid.
Real Madrid are one of the best teams in the world, but when your playing in the Spanish La Liga being one of the best isn't that useful you need to bee the best as you have to compete with Barcalona F.C. They ended up getting a big cash boost from their owner and bought in the best player in the game, Christiano Ronaldo, but this cash boost didn't effect their league position at all.
Manchester City have seen no recent success at all within the last ten years. The Club was sold and a bunch forigen international players were bought in. It made effect on their league position but not enough to make it into the top European Cup The Champions League.
So just because the Heat have bought three of the best players in league it dosen't garentee them a Championship and that's why LeBron James moved to Miami, to win a Championship.
